We are Laura and Matteo — partners in life and at work for many years — who chose to turn a dream into reality: bringing new life to a country house and welcoming guests to the heart of the Langhe.
Laura is an AIS sommelier and a lover of details: she tells the story of the area through its wines, its producers, and the curiosities of a small yet rich village like Monforte d’Alba — always with those little touches that will make you feel completely at ease.
Matteo is a professional chef who, in addition to having designed and created most of the details you’ll see inside and outside the house, is passionate about traditional cuisine and loves to spoil guests with treats that smell of warm bread and freshly baked cakes.
Monforte Country House is our dream come true, and also our family home: rooms filled with the scent of wood and natural light, breakfasts that bring back childhood memories and rediscover lost flavours — all in a peaceful corner of the hills.
Here with us, you’ll find wellbeing and tranquillity — without excess or exaggeration — just what we know how to do best: welcoming and taking care of our guests, in our home.

At our Country House, the rooms are not just rooms: they are part of our home — spaces we have carefully restored and now open to guests just as we would to friends.
Each space has its own character, its own light, and a view that changes with the seasons. Natural materials, authentic details, and a peaceful atmosphere make every room a place to slow down and feel truly welcomed.
We are a small, family-run reality, and we like to offer hospitality that is sincere and professional, yet warm and personal at the same time.
